Can we print an entire issue?
For publications no longer in PDF, we now list them by week or month. To print out an all the stories, first log in, then go to your chosen publication and select from the "Stories by Week" or "Stories by Month" list in the left menu.
If you are logged in and have purchased a subscription to that publication, a page will be displayed with all stories in that week or month. The (Printer Friendly Version) link will display a printer-formatted page in a seperate window, ready for printing.
The other publications are still available as PDF files. You must login to download the files. Click the PDF archive link in the top menu tab to access them.
Do I need to enter my password each time I use the site?
Once you login on the website, try clicking on the "remember me" box located in the login box just below the "password" window. If you do that, you will never again have to login as long as you continue using the same computer to access the website and you do so at least once a month. (The "remember me" function utilizes a "cookie" that self-destructs after 30 days if it isn't used during that period.)
Also, you can -- if you wish -- change your username and/or password to anything you want. Just click on the "Subscribers Only" tab located just under the Google ads. There you will find a link that says "Set username/password". If you click on that link, you'll find easy-to-follow instructions on how to change your password and username.
Remember, if you ever forget your login information, all you have to do is click on the "Forgot your login information?" link located just below the login box located on the login page, or the "Forgot your login info" link on the Main Menu tab. A window will open and prompt you to enter your correct email address (the one that you sent to us when you subscribed). Once you do that, our system will automatically reset your login information and send you an email message advising you of the action.
How can I change (or stop) the email notifications?
You can set the email notifications that are sent announcing new story posts. To do this, go to your publication, and click the subscribers tab in the top menu bar, or click the links below for your publications:
- Children & Youth Funding Report
- Community Health Funding Report
- Federal & Foundation Assistance Monitor
- Native American Report
- Private Grants Alert
Once there, you will see checkboxes for daily and weekly notifications. Simply check the box next to the email you want. To stop all the notices, uncheck both boxes.
How can I change my email address?
To change your email address click the "Subscribers Only" tab at the top of the page, then click the "Change your contact info" link. There you can change your email address, as well as other contact information.
Note: This will NOT change your username. To change that go to "Set username/password".
How can I change my Username/Password?
First click in the top "Subscribers Only" tab (login required). Then click the "Set username /password" link.
You can set your username and password to what ever you wish.

What is an RSS newsfeed?
RSS is a system which keeps you in touch with the news by automatically sending the latest stories to your computer, so you don't have to trawl through dozens of sites to get what you need.
RSS, an acronym that stands for Really Simple Syndication, works something like an old-fashioned news wire service.
RSS can deliver you up-to-date content from our website, saving you the hassle of having to click from headline to headline in order to get the latest stories.
RSS works by getting your computer to download what is called an XML feed onto an RSS reader. XML is a data stream with the latest headlines and stories from the section of the website you have chosen. The feed is then updated every time new articles or content appears, so all you have to do is load your RSS reader and read -- you don't need to visit the actual website.
To use RSS you need an RSS feed reader (also called an aggregator) -- i.e., software which translates the data into a readable format for you. Hundreds of RSS feeds are available -- mostly for free -- either as downloads or sometimes attached to other Internet software. Several browsers, including Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Safari, allow you to view RSS feeds directly in your browser window.
Once you've chosen your RSS reader, you just have to look for the distinctive orange RSS logo
(or sometimes the words RSS or XML on a button) on the website or section of a website that you want to subscribe to. Then you can either…
- Click on the icon and, while keeping the mouse button pressed down, drag the icon into your RSS reader. This will automatically download the content you selected into your reader; or
- Click on the orange RSS icon or the text link underneath the logo and then, when the RSS feed page opens, copy and paste the URL of that page into the "add feed" section of your RSS reader.
